Questions people actually ask
How is the ship name made?
The lab cuts both names in half and joins them the other way round, tries every combination of halves, tidies up any stutters, then picks one of the results.
Will I get the same ship name again?
Yes. The same two names always produce the same blend and the same rating, in either order, so the card you send matches what the other person sees.
Why are there alternates?
Because half the fun is disagreeing with the lab. The runners-up are the other blends of the same two names.
Does it work with more than two names?
Not yet — two names in, one ship out. Run it twice if your friend group is complicated.
